I read most of the reviews before we went, and I agree with most of them. The views were fantastic. If you do the loop to see copper falls first, and the cascades last, I believe the falls get better as you go. With each...More

We hiked all of the trails. Even climbed observation tower. Note: the loop trail leading from tower was overgrown and not very discernible. We went back the way we came. The Red Falls Trail also needed attention. This is one of our favorite WI parks!

Our family went on the shorter trail, 1.7 miles and 3 waterfalls. Amazing views. One of the most beautiful parks that I've visited. Highly recommended.

We visited Copper Falls in May after some heavy rains. The Bad River & Tyler River were rushing which made for some great falls and river views. The loop trail is 1.7 miles long with lots of steps, but worth the hike. You will see...More

The Copper Falls are well worth the moderate effort it takes to complete the viewing loop. The trails are easy to walk along while most people and kids will find the same with the slate steps. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon I spent at Copper...More

We visited Copper Falls this week. There are three beautiful falls, cascades and deep gorges. A trail around Copper Falls allows for great photography. There is a walking trail for persons with disabilities with an overlook of Brownstone Falls and the Bad River gorge. We...More

What a great way to spend a beautiful early spring day! My only warning is that there are lots of steps. We counted over 800 up and down, including the observation tower, and that is not counting inclines. But, thanks to ibuprofen and knee braces,...More

I've had this park on my list for years due to word of mouth raving. I expected more. The waterfall hike is a protected area but littered with trash. Normally I'd collect it as I go but I left my bags in the car. The...More

Two rivers merge and there are two decent sized waterfalls close to eachother in a gorge. Walking the loop around the falls and to the other side is a great way to spend an afternoon. The stairs are extremely slippery in the winter (ice covered)...More

Is there primitive camping? And does anyone know how the fishing is?

There are backpacking sites for camping separate from the two campgrounds. There are also a few walk in sites from one of the campgrounds. Just talked with someone who had been fishing. He caught some trout on the river.

This is what the website says about camping. "There are 24 sites with electrical hookups. One is accessible for people with disabilities. Four of the sites are the more secluded walk-in type. For details about each campsite... More

Looking to come view the falls in the winter season and just wondering what the paths are like to get to them. Are you able to walk to them or would you need snow shoes or cross country skis?

The trails nearest the falls are for walking (or snowshoeing). They get icy so footfangs, the spikes to attach to shoes/boots, would be helpful. There are also ski trails.
