You have to take the ferry. Only takes a few minutes. Very fun. You can get out of your car while the ferry is going and walk around.

Enjoy, take pictures, smile, ferry driver will indicate your lane to be in. Bicycles welcome, load, unload first. Beautiful Viking on both sides of lake.

It was nice ride with the ferry. It was free and quick. No waiting. It was first time we did it ad we will definitely take a ferry again.

An absolutely free ferry service from one side of the lake to the other. Beautiful scenery and just such a shame its such a quick trip . Take your camera! Lots of wildlife and native birds.

This ferry is part of the Highway, so is routine and free. The short ride across the river is an enjoyable break from driving. Worth a side trip.

I have to go across the Ferry at least once a year. Pretty drive there and back. Not many things are free anymore and it just nice and relaxing.

Correction... this is across the river that does not freeze, but the ferry still runs from April thru November.

No. he Wisconsin River does freeze, (not completely but, enough to be dangerous to this ferry)
