Scenic getaway in the city!

Nice trail for biking, walking and running. We rented Bubbler Bikes and rode for miles. Nices escape from city traffic.

My wife and I live in Madison and in May decided to do a day trip to Milwaukee to try out the bike trails there and enjoy Memorial Day at the lakefront. We started our ride at the Humane Society Campus at 4500 West, followed the Monomonee river West to Wauwatosa then further West and eventually south along the river... More

Just so everyone knows, the single track dirt trail on the west side of the Milwaukee river is closed to mountain biking by the Milwaukee County Prks department. This is actually a nature trail for bird watchers and walkers. Actually, biking of any kind is prohibited in county parks except on paved trails. Good news though. The east side of... More

I run here frequently and have never had any type of incident or felt unsafe. That being said, I've heard stories not to run here at night, and every now and then there'll be a news story about something questionable happening on the trail (someone approached or grabbed). Because it runs lower than the streets in most areas & is... More

Great for walkers, joggers, bicycles. You can follow this path all the way from Whitefish Bay to the lake front. Never had a problem. Always seems safe. Patrolled by Police. Natural, scenic, clean. Paved (asphalt) trail throughout. Follows an old train track. A little bit of nature in the city.

Paved trail that winds around festival park. Limited services but the trail offers nice views of the lake.

It's a great place and we go there at least weekly for a short jaunt with the dog. I am responsible, pick up after my old girl and she heels to the left. We try to get off the path when joggers and cyclists come by but sometimes it's muddy. I figure as a citizen I have a right to... More

Milwaukee has some of the most beautiful bike trails in the world and the river trail is part of that. So very scenic and takes you through what Milwaukee has to offer

If you read all the reviews for Milwaukee RIver Bike Trail (hereinafter MRBT), you will no doubt be confused by what seems wildly differing information. The problem is that MRBT means different things to different people. (I'm not sure that there is any one officially designated MRBT.) So . . . One description obviously refers to what is more frequently... More
