The Milwaukee County Zoo is one of my favorite places to go. In my mind, the Milwaukee County Zoo is even better than the San Diego Zoo! Children of all ages would love it--lots to see and do!

I guess I've been spoiled by the STL zoo, which is amazing and free. A lot of the animals' habitats seemed small (particularly the hippo), which I think made them seem a little bit sluggish and sad. Granted, I visited on a hot day. There are other things I would rather do in Milwaukee.

We were in town for a family wedding and spent the morning at the zoo. We almost skipped it based on the traffic jam to get into the zoo but stuck with it. It was crowded and occasionally we had to wait to get to front of an enclosure but everyone was polite, friendly, and made room for the little... More

Great weekend weather gave way for a packed house at the zoo. Nice to see so many people enjoy the animals. This was the most people we have ever seen at a zoo anywhere

We are members so we come often. There is plenty to see and explore and membership allows us to go and have a picnic lunch with the bears for an afternoon. The food isn't the best but we love the special events there like zoo a la carte and food truck nights. Zoo staff and volunteers are very knowledgable and... More

We visited at the very end of September on a Wednesday and while all the exhibits were open, the rides and other activities were closed. Since we were killing a few hours before a flight, it was still a fun visit. Overwhelmingly, 99% of the other visitors were mothers with strollers and children which made it fun for two grandparents... More

The county zoo is reliably good. Your children will love it. Make sure to take the train ride instead of the motorized tour. The habitats are well kept, and the animals are beautiful.
