The SV Dennis Sullivan is a rare platform to promote clean water and century old sailing on the Great Lakes. It was docked at the Port Washington, Wi dock. We had a BLAST. Helped raise the sails. Learned what it's like to be under the winds power. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Absolute recommend for anyone looking to sail the... More

It seemed pricey at $45 each, but we really enjoyed the 2 hour trip on the lake. The captain and crew were all so friendly. The history of how the ship came to be and its adventures since were captivating. The view of Milwaukee from the lake was wonderful. Be sure to use the bathroom before getting on the ship.

It was such a great experience to sail on a replica schooner that once sailed on Lake Michigan. The crew was friendly and willing to answer any of our questions. The boat will take 50 but there was only 10 on our trip which was great because we were able to move around freely. We helped hoist the sails which... More

My husband and I were up in Milwaukee for Irish Fest and booked a tour on the SV Denis Sullivan. What a great excursion. Not only is the entire crew friendly, but we got to help them by hoisting the sails! It was a not so windy day so we didn't use much sail power but we did enjoy ourselves... More

First Time sailing. Crew was great and I got to help hoist the sails - not as easy as looks. Great view of Milwaukee skyline. Lake was a little rough. Glad Discovery World was closed or I would never have gone. Would go again but on a day with more sun and a calmer lake.

Had a great time on the Denis Sullivan! Crew was so nice and mingled with the visitors explaining what they are doing with sails, etc. and readily answering any questions. So beautiful to see the Milwaukee skyline from the water. The Denis Sullivan was neat and clean and fascinating to see and learn about. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There weren't... More

This was great fun, especially for the would-be sailor like myself. Only time in my 60+ yr life I've been on a "tall ship," and we actually got to participate in the raising of the sails. Don't miss it if you like boating.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hr trek on this vessel. Although it was a cool evening the warm sun warmed us all as we learned about this replica ship as the crew (and many of the guests) raised the sails. Anyone visiting Milwaukee should definitely take this cruise. Fellow residents need to give it a try too!
