This newly refurbished site is absolutely stunning. I went during the first week of December and there were all kinds of Christmas decorations around. There are individual scenes from just about all the countries in Europe, which exhibit some of the handicrafts of the country. It was a very enjoyable way to spend a cold winter morning. We spent about... More

The museum hasn't changed to much in the past 30 years. We recently went there for a trick or treat event. That was fun to do and see the museum. Last year a friend had there wedding reception which was an excellent venue.

The attention to detail is a bit astounding. The streets of old Milwaukee exhibit is very fun. It's like blinking your eyes and being transported to a giant doll house. Whoever put a real candy shop in there was genius. The Native American dioramas are very impressive as well. There's a lot to see. Plan for about 4 hours if... More

Me and my wife took my daughter and her friend both age 10 to the museum for about 4 hours. The top thing was the butterfly exhibit for the girls, they really enjoyed the interaction with the beautiful butterflies. The next top spots were European Village and the Ancient Civilizations. The planetarium also was a family favorite. I would highly... More

This place had it all. It was like going back in time. It was three floors of informative history. Be prepared to walk for about two hours and it's worth it. I love history and learned plenty. Make sure you have enough time on your parking meter. It is worth your while to stop and and learn about our history.

Great museum and a definite must see if in Milwaukee. There is lots to see and the exhibits are wonderfully done, very life like and detailed. Not only is there a great deal of history about Milwaukee and Wisconsin (we learned a lot about the area) there are many other exhibits to see and learn about - Arctic region, Africa,... More

We are a beloved experience for many local schools. If you're looking to steer clear of "bus loads of school kids," I would recommend avoiding Monday-Friday mornings during the months of October-May. Thank you for the review. More
