Beautiful

I think we stood and stared at it for a good 20 minutes. So beautiful to look at. Didn't go inside but the walk around the building was all I needed. Located by the Pabst Theatre.

It was impressive from the outside. We walked there in cold 20's weather to find it to be offices inside, somewhat decorative. We didnt think it was worth the time to see the inside. We might have missed something but, I would only go if nearby.

Milwaukee downtown is amazing in general. One can walk and enjoy the architecture of the buildings, most of which are really beautiful. The City Hall is in perfect harmony with everything else - I made couple of circles around it as I have never seen a city hall with similar architecture and I was amazed. If you are in Milwaukee... Milwaukee is very walkable, as least the city center. You cannot mistake the city hall for anything but must visit building. Exterior classic Central European architecture from the 19th century. The interior contains a vast atrium with all the offices surrounding it all the way up. Quite a unique spot for a brief visit.

This building is breathtaking. We spent a long time viewing at the details on the outside. They just don't build them like this anymore. The inside is beautiful. We loved exploring the floors. What lovely, lovely details. It would be a joy to work in such a lovely place.

We met here for a tour, and took the opportunity to go inside. Not being an expert of building styles, I can say that this is a unique building with a large center courtyard. (that in the past had 8 suicides from jumping from the top floor). This is a working government building, so you won't be exploring the different... More

This is a gorgeous building and one of the representations of German influence and architecture. I did not have an opportunity to enter, but was told by locals that it is as regal as the outside.

City Hall was included on my tour. It is very pretty. The clock outside is exceptional. Inside is beautiful.

This is a beautiful building that is in need of some expensive TLC. Right now they are working on foundation issues and recently completed an exterior project to fix cracking mortar, etc. The building needs to have a thorough (ceilings, Windows, flooring) cleaning but overall the layout of being an elongated oval with an open rotunda. If you get a... More

We took city tour and started at city hall. We loved the architectural design of the building both inside and out. The clock tower was awesome.
