St. John's Cathedral is Milwaukee's Catholic Archdiocese. The church reminds me of entering a church in Rome. It was built in 1852 and all the skilled craftsmanship and beauty of that time is present in this magnificent church; built with cream city brick, towers, huge...More

As a Catholic, I love to visit the cathedrals of the Diocese/Archdiocese of every new city I visit. So, St. John's Cathedral it was. It's a beautiful structure. Though, I was surprised that it was the cathedral, because it is smaller than a lot of...More

Didn't get to go inside, but definitely a pretty view from a drive by outside. It's lit up nicely and seems well maintained.

I walked on a pedestrian crosswalk which was painted like the perfect replica of a piano keyboard and entered Cathedral Square Park. Could this be a clue as to what happens in that lovely park in the middle of Milwaukee? Yes, it is home to...More

This is a beautiful place. Don't miss the Hallelujah chorus around the holidays. Unfortunately, this cathedral can be locked when you really need it.

Very beautiful. Don't miss the cornerstone on the left side of exterior. On Wednesday's at 12:30 free concerts are given inside. We visited today (Thursday) and were amazed at the Pipe Organs being practiced inside. Absolutely fantastic experience. Interior is adorned with beautiful stained glass...More
