We have always enjoyed the Historic Third Ward. With it's many restaurants and bars it's a fantastic destination for a group of friends. We are planning our "War on Milwaukee" in a few weeks and were "scouting" all the places for our "troops" must visit.

Hard to find parking, but this area has a lot of restaurants and shops and beautifully restored buildings. I would put it on my "must-see list" when in Milwaukee.

With many cute boutiques and great restaurants the third ward is worth a visit. Extremely close to summerfest, when the festival closes you can easily walk to the third ward bar scene.

The 3rd Ward is a cool area to walk around in. There are a lot of neat shops and little restaurants. It does get busy at lunch and dinner hour. So you be prepared to wait.

I was there over the Labor Day weekend and they had a huge Arts and Crafts show, and live music. Their were quite a few family's there but the weather was perfect, what time of year are you going?
