Tours are 1000AM Monday thru Friday. 1100AM on Saturday. We highly recommend the tour to learn about the high standards and pride taken to make Roth Cheese. Tony was informative about the history of cheese making and how to obtain the highest quality of cheese. He explains the chemistry involved to the few ingredients. Milk is from local grassfed cows... A fantastic selection of cheeses. They had some out to taste. They also sell wine and New Glarus beer.

I missed the tour (11 am on weekends) but had lots of samples and purchased a bunch of excellent cheese at cheap prices! Would shop here for my cheese everytime if I could!

This place had been saved for our trip to Wisconsin for a long time. When we pulled it up on our app the day we were travelling in that area, it said they were closed. DARN!!! As we drove past their shop, there was an "OPEN" sign all lit up so my husband took a sharp turn and we stopped.... More

We called ahead and the proprietor of the cheese shop, Toni gave us a guided tour from the viewing bays. We got to see them making full cream havarti, and then we watched the cheese makers toss 20# wheels of cheese as they moved them from the pressing process to the brining process. The tour lasted about 40 min. Toni... More

They have the most amazing cheese store and are excellent in their commitment to the environment! They have a four cheese fondue mix that can't be beat! Also, great wine gallery.

We have been buying cheese here for several years and are never disappointed. I prefer the aged cheddar and artisan cheeses, There is a nice variety of the standards like Swiss, Munster, Havarti , Gouda, fresh curds and more. You can taste samples of many of the specialty and locally made cheeses. Very knowledgeable staff and they can ship cheese... More

I have been here a handful of times. The tour is minimal, but the cheese is good and they always have samples for the tasting. We ordered sandwiches, which were great. It's definitely worth 20 minutes of your time if you are in Monroe.

This shop, also known as Alp and Dell I believe, has a fabulous selection of Wisconsin's local products. It's a great place to stop if you're on a road trip. Located in Monroe in Green County, it's in the heart of Wisconsin's cheese country. Variety of cheese, ethnic meats, beverages, gifts and home goods. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Seems... The tour is minimal, a series of observation windows overlooking a few cheese making operations, but worth a look if you have never seen cheese being made. The chance to taste a large number of their cheeses was terrific. Thought the cheese was very good and naturally we wanted to take some quality Wisconsin cheese home for friends and family.... More
