A reasonably priced campground within an attractive county park. Book a site in this county park because Wisconsin state parks appear to currently require purchase of an annual admission pass which is only a good deal if you will visit often.
As a tent camper, I need a bathhouse with showers, toilet and sink. Theoretically these exist here but not in a practical way. One small bathouse is currently closed due to COVID. The big bathhouse has what I need but is only open 9AM-6PM to allow for disinfection which really turns it into a large toilet for all intents. The only facility open 24/7 was a unit with one male and one female toilet. Overwhelming chemical smell!!
Nice recreational playground and for kids.
OK if you have an RV but otherwise you should check out other options.

We visited this Brown County Park for the 1st time. The park is just off Hwy. 57 along the Bluff adjacent to Green Bay. This park provides a laundry list of facilities including, camping hook-ups, boat launch with extensive parking, excellent trail system, playground, bathrooms, park shelter, picnic tables, softball field & volleyball area.
The park area was well maintained. All facilities were in good condition. We traversed the entire trail system which was probably about 4 miles total. The trails were in good condition. The bluff portion of the trail is flat and provides several overlooks of Green Bay. Portions of the trail qualify as "Moderate" in difficulty where you go from the bluff to the shoreline. We saw a variety of wildflowers and rocky outcrops which added to the quality of the hike.
This is one of the best County Parks we have visited. The location is close to Hwy. 57 with signs directing you to the park. The extensive facilities provide lots of options.

I came to this park because I heard that it has a trail under the Niagara Escarpment - my ever favorite feature in Door County and beyond. Sure enough - the trail weaves its way under the Escarpment, and it's a treat to enjoy on a hot summer day (there is always coolness next to the dolomite wall of the Escarpment).

This is a Great campground. Campsites are paved which is great. I enjoy being close to the Bay for fishing. Great trails to walk and nice bike trail.

"Bay Shore" is a nice smaller campground just outside of Green Bay, WI. All of the sites are "first come, first serve" with no reservations. On busy/holiday weekends it usually sells out, so I always see locals paying for the sites early to grandfather in, since you can pay for a site for up to 21 days in a row. It may be smaller, but it does sell out every holiday weekend.
There are about 23 "primitive" sites and 82 "camper" sites with 20-30amp and water hookup. It's $20 for non-hookup, and $30 a night for electric/water fixed rate, up to 5 people /site. Every site as a fire pit and picnic bench. Most sites are not that large, will fit a small/medium camper and truck with room to spread out. It's wooded, but campsites are all back-to-back.
Bathrooms, showers, etc have been very clean every time I've used them. Park, trails, playground are always very well kept since there are Rangers on duty every day. All roads around the campgrounds are paved well and sites are mostly grass. Nice to stay at a campground that is taken care of!
Rangers are usually very friendly. Will deliver firewood to your site if you buy it, and they do rounds to enforce 10pm quite hour etc. Always reasonable and just scold you if you happen to break any rules.
Park is located on a small cliff. There are a few trails (some easy, some get challenging) that go from the campground, down the cliff, to the bay/beach. Large parking lot with boat landing to launch into the Bay of Green Bay. Beach shores are nice but very rocky. Do not let small children go unsupervised on this property. They also have a nice newer playground, shelters, volleyball courts, etc that are kept up well.
This is I think the least expensive campground to stay at in this area so it is a great value for what is included. It's not my first choice to go to for a camping trip, but for $20/night to "rough it" or $30/night for a full hookup site, it's an awesome deal to do a quick weekend trip.
Room for improvement (for 5 stars) would be a better groomed sand beach area. Maybe some more hiking trails if there is room. Not sure if zebra mussels (invasive species) made the sand beach part impossible, but they have really cleared up over the years I've gone there

We stayed two nights at this Brown County park north of Green Bay. It was a lovely setting with lots of mature trees, paved pads for camping trailers, 20- and 30-amp electric service. Bathrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. Pit toilets were clean with no smell. There was even washers and dryers available - something one only sees at private campgrounds. Self-registration so it's first come, first served. Close enough to Green Bay that one can go into the city to see the sites such as Lambeau Field or the Neville Public Museum. A nice playground area for the kids, too.

rangers need to do their job! my fire pit had broken beer bottles and 1/2 melted plastic bottles in it! I requested that my fire pit be cleaned before i took the site she [park host] said she called the park ranger. i waited 1/2 hr for him to clean it and returned to find piles of ashes in it and 1 broken beer bottle buried in the ashes

We tent camped here for the weekend of the Packers vs Bears game and had an amazing experience. The campground was clean and quiet. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean, probably because most people who camp are in RVs by this time of year. Either way, hot showers while we we got ready for the game was a bonus I hadn't expected. We were able to call an Uber to get to Lambeau which worked out perfectly. Cost about $60 each way but better than parking or not having any drinks!
There are a few points in the park that overlook the Bay and there is a small beach down by the boat launch that was a nice spot to warm up in the sun as the campgrounds were heavily shaded by all the trees.
Wood and ice were available for purchase at the entrance of the campground.
All-in-all it was a great spot to camp and I'd definitely recommend it!

Great Park with campsites, small marina and boat launch but we were looking for a beach to wade and skip rocks. This beach is very little sand - a lot of crushed shell so hard on the feet. The beach is small, but there was plenty of space when we were there on a Sunday.

Nice to go for a quick get away from Green Bay. Has a beach, boat launch, hiking/biking trails, pavilion, playground and camping. Wear water shoes at the beach as it is rocky but very nice.
