The only reason I am giving them 4 instead of 5 stars is because they are definitely lacking when it comes to atmosphere. I have been to many wineries and this one scores the lowest in the atmosphere department, it just doesnt have any "feel". If you are expecting to feel like you are walking into a winery, you will... When the pourer tells you it's bad believe her. Concord grapes are for eating and Chardonnay shouldn't taste like petrol.

Oh what fun....There was just my husband and myself, so we had a very personal wine tasting. I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I do know what I like....the server had me try all the wines starting with the dry (partial to sweet), but glad I did. None were what I would consider dry, dry, all very tasty. Did go... More

Not sure why this is rated so high. The place was dead and the person working seemed completely uninterested. No comparison to a real winery.

Visited this winery while at the Beer Bacon and Cheese Festival in 2016. The best thing about it was the air conditioning. We placed our belongings at a table to participate in the wine tasting and one of the workers removed our items and opened the table for other guests who then put there items on the table to participate... We visited the winery this weekend on a day trip to New Glarus, and it was a lot of fun! For $5, you get to taste 14 types of wine--all the wines that they make. The staff is quite knowledgeable about the wines they sell. We found that most were very sweet, or very dry--not many with a 'middle ground'.... More

We visited Primrose during the Beer, Bacon & Cheese Fest In June. For a mere $5 per person, we were able to taste their entire selection of wines. The gentleman that did our tasting was very knowledgeable and very personable. He gave excellent suggestions for pairings that the average person could relate to and would use in a normal setting.... We stopped by the winery late in the afternoon and the vintner's son regaled us with stories about the winery's origins, a bit of his own history and most interestingly that he personally doesn't drink wine. He turned our wine tasting over to a young attendant working there for the summer who worked off of note cards to review the... More

We stopped into Primrose as we were roaming down the main street. We weren't really looking to buy wine, but thought we might find some wine accessories. While we didn't find many accessories, but we did end up buying three bottles of wine. The owner's son was manning the store and took us through a wonderful (an inexpensive) wine tasting... More
