DAy at the Zoo

I had a pleasant visit. The zoo is very well maintained. It is not too small, nor too big walk through. There was not a big crowd, which gave me more time to just stroll and... read more

We are so lucky to have a Zoo in our town. So few this size are left and ours is really spectacular. I've been going to this zoo all my life (I'm 67 now). I had Birthday Parties there when I was a little girl, my own son was a Volunteen there, and the events and Animal Crackers are just... More

Not all of the animals had enough room here. That was a little disappointing. The spider monkeys were pretty cool. They had a fossa, which was also cool, but it was next to the lion exhibit and seemed to be stressed about that. The lions definitely needed more room, although they did have toys to play with. There was a... More

What super cute and affordable zoo! We spent about 3 hours walking around and seeing all the animals. We went during the Boo at the Zoo event so there were some additional activities to do. I loved that it was a very laid back zoo and that you can get up close to the animals. And it has great views... More

I've been to both Detroit & Toledo Zoos, Racine is much smaller, however, a very nice walk through with plenty to see! Kids thoroughly enjoyed all the animals! Would recommend Racine visitors to visit if they are looking for something to do!

The Racine Zoo was the setting for a recent Wisconsin Bar Association event. It was a wonderful venue with ADA accessibility and helpful staff. We were near the Zebra and Rhinoceros enclosures which added interest to the "meet and greet" styled event. The Racine Zoo is an affordable outing for people of all ages. It can also be rented for... We decided to take a road trip to Racine to do something new and check out their zoo. It is free for children under 2 and costs $8/adult and $6 for child. We paid the full price. It is a nice sized zoo and fun for little ones to play in the little parks. We were excited to take out... More

Such a fun zoo! The animals are easy to see which makes it fun for young and old alike. The setting is spectacular with Lake Michigan as a back drop. It's fun just to walk around the trails! Enjoy on your next visit to Racine!

It used to be one of the last free zoos in the country and relied on contributions, but the economy happened, so they charge a small fee and have a deal if you live in Racine County on certain days (call ahead or look on web site for info). It is a small zoo, but a nice variety of animals,... More
