This a nice area to visit as it sits on the lake and the Lighthouse is fun to climb up to see the light at the top. Just need to call to see if it is open.

The lighthouse is very accessible and the small surrounding park was nice. We enjoyed walking along the little beach in front of the lighthouse.

self-guided tours on the property possible pretty much all year; buildings were marked with signs explaining their function and history. Guided tours of the lighthouse itself available selected weekends during the summer for a small charge. The only challenge is limited parking.

We were able to walk the grounds but the light house has limited tour times. I could see that parking would be a problem during the tourist season, but worth a visit.
