Hubby stopped by to pick up some pasties. The pasties shop is just a stop and pick them up. We purchased many and our daughter took some home. So many to choose from and delicious.

Best Pastles Ever

I was so happy to see they have reopened now. The inside has been redesigned and they only sell frozen pasties now. That is the only way I ever bought them anyway. I love that they use locally sourced and organic food when possible. The meat comes from a local farm that raises grass fed beef. These pasties are grade A all the way. The assortment of flavor combinations is amazing and we love the Greek and Cornish (traditional with rutabaga).they are well worth our 30 mile trip to get them.

A little hard to find but worth the effort

Great pasties. Every time I go to northern Wisconsin or the UP I seek out pasty shops. This is a very small place with very good traditional pasties. Their menu had a large variety, or maybe exotic varieties, they have frozen to take home. When I was there, the traditional and 3 other flavors were cooked and ready to eat there. If pasties are your thing then "eat at Joes".

Awesome meals in a crust blanket !!!

I've been visiting Rhinelander, WI for the past 4 years and each time we come here we go to Joe's for lunch to have the pasties. They are just so delicious and a healthy well rounded meal...today I had for the first time the Thai Chicken pasty...OH MY it was loaded with veggies and mildly spiced, delicious. If you live in or near Rhinelander and don't visit this place you are missing out on some great food and people. If you come to Rhinelander or nearby for a visit, you won't be disappointed by traveling to get there and try ANY of the pasties and if it's a Thursday you'll be very pleased with the Bacon Cheeseburger Pasty....yummy yummy Definitely a must try and I bet you'll be back for more !!! BTW you can take some frozen ones home with you !!!

Best pastys anywhere!
May 2016
It is now a habit for us to stop at Joes Pasty Shop whenever we go to Rhinelander to visit family. It's a complete tasty meal in a crust. We have now tried about 6 of their pasties and have loved every one of them. We are working on sampling all the rest that they have to offer. They have fresh pasties every day, but not all of them are available on any given day, so we buy them frozen and cook them at home. The crust is nice and crispy and flakey. And they are stuffed to the max with deliciously good fillings. My favorites are the bacon cheeseburger,
the reuben, and the Cornish pasty. Not only do we buy them to eat there, but are now taking them home to the Chicago area frozen to have a quick meal (it is truly a meal in itself) for later. Anyone going up to the Rhinelander should stop and give them a try for a delicious treat!!!! They only have a small eating area, just a picnic type table, so it's best to take them to go. It's a wonderful small friendly family- owned spot that you won't forget.

Every summer, growing up, we stayed near Rhinelander. Joe's Pasty shop was always my favorite place to eat. The best flavors that will ever grace your taste buds. I'm so glad they ship during the winter!

good pasties

I've had pasties from here a few times. They are good. I've bought both the fresh pasties and the frozen. The ones I make myself are better; but since you're not invited to my house, I'd highly recommend Joe's Pasty Shop. They are better than some I've had in the U.P.

Good natural food, extremely fast. It was my first of what will be many pasty's. The owners are extremely nice. Drinks are limited to natural items. Picnic tables inside. Cleaning up your own stuff. Easy excellent and quick. They ship too.

Make sure to stop and experience a great pasty. I go all the time to take them home but they do have seating in or outside for your eating pleasure
