The park is beautiful, nice beach to walk around on or take photos. There is a little nature center too, not super exciting (mostly taxidermied local fauna and some snakes and frogs in aquariums), but kids seem to really love it.

This place brings back so many memories... great walking.. and the sand dunes are so much fun... great camping. Biking and pubic picnic areas... state park so you have to pay...... but well worth it... remember it is lake Michigan and it's cold water...

We arrived hoping to see Lake Michigan for the first time and wow, were we amazed. The park provides the perfect intro. Long sandy beaches provide great vantage point, long vistas across the water gives you a sense of size! The nature center provided information...More

We loved everything about this beautiful park! They even have a washer and dryer for longer stays. It is close to everything, but feels miles away, and the staff is very friendly.

Besides being very pretty there we also had a grill out, hike and playground. The whole rec area has sand under it and has swings and swing and jungle gym.picnic area and bathroom.

Beautiful area with biking and hiking areas. Was a cool weekend with lows in 40's. closest shower room was being upgraded so not available for use. Patrolled well and felt safe for children.

The park was much better than most of the more expensive campsites. It was quiet, safe and with a quick walk to a clean beach. The nature walk is fun just to walk through or slow down and listen to all of the animals.

Nice little park for a quick weekend camping trip. The beaches are nice in the summer, but the park is prettiest in the fall when the leaves change.

This summer has been wet. More skeeters than normal. Stay where the wind blows or bring your bug juice.

Well...there are not "activities" to speak of. There are bike and hiking trails, a very nice sand beach right on Lake Michigan, and whatever activities u bring. It is a county/state park. Rustic and quiet. There are lots of... More
