Great place to go camping. Lots of trails to walk thru the sand dunes. You can go swimming in lake Michigan or just relax on the beach.

Peaceful and pristine. A great place to visit with family! Try taking family photos with Lake Michigan or the dunes as your backdrop!

This 4 or 5 mile expanse of white sand beach on Lake Michigan takes you away from your average life stressors. With a great nature center and miles of "cord-walk" pathways through the natural dunes, you are treated to spectacular vistas.

I have been to Kohler-Andrae (called "Terry Andre" by locals) more than a dozen times, to swim, bum on the beach, camp, or picnic. It is a wonderful place to spend a day, or even a weekend. Be warned though - lake levels have risen in the past 3-5 years and the beach as you may have remembered it is... More

The highlight of this park, for me, was the board walk through the sand dunes. On the day I visited the wind was coming off the lake and the crash of the surf was loud. When I got away from the buildings, and the other people it almost felt like I was on Cape Cod. Some sections of the path... More

Love biking down to Kohler-Andrae! There are lots of great walking trails and you get to see tons of wildlife. Lots of beach space. Didn't stay at the campsite, but I did bike through, and it is very well groomed.

Kohler Andrae State Park made it easy to get to the shore of Lake Michigan, walk its dunes, and spend a little time learning about the local fauna and flora.

It's gorgeous. My husband and I went a few weeks ago. It was so nice and quiet. I think all the tourists went home already. There were a few campers, but that's it. The sand dunes were beautiful and the lake was just gorgeous. There was a good breeze that day, so the waves were rolling.
