We are water freaks and thus was a great place to hike and take photographs. We would do this again and again. We were there in sun and rain -- didn't matter. It was beautiful. Could be dangerous for very young children.

The cave views are wonderful and the cairns were a neat sight to see. We all built a cairn and added to the hundreds! One of my kids fav things in Door County.

Great place to stop for the views and a picnic on a nice sunny day or when it's cloudy you will want to take pictures.

free and easy access - worth the stop. We loved the view - would likely be even more amazing in the fall.

Cave Point is the best place to spend a hot summer day viewing the majesty of Lake Michigan shoreline. Plenty of hiking trails along the shore of this park. Be sure to keep a security hold on youngsters as this location has some danger spots...More

Don't dismiss this county park and think it is just like any other. The views here are breathing of Lake Michigan. You can hear the crashing waves as they are carving out cave like formations in the rocks . Make sure to wear comfortable walking...More

Planning a trip for January. Still worth visiting in winter?

I've only been in the summer. I would guess that it would be beautiful but cold and possibly slippery. Dress warm and wear good boots with traction. Also it is probably very windy so something water/wind resistant.
