We were able to see this park by land and by "sea". Visited the cave via kayaks. Afterwards, stopped to eat lunch here and explore the views. Kids were jumping off the cliff area. Stacked and balanced rocks filled a lower water front area that...More

Loved Cave Point Park. Great place for kids to experience nature. Would definitely recommend. Great place to picnic.

This is my second visit (once during fall, and once in July). I really haven't taken the time to really explore the park. The first impression is that it's not worth the drive IF it's the only thing you're seeing on the east shore line....More

Certainly, you can jump off the cliffs into the water for fun like the kids that come here, but if you want to enjoy the scenic beauty and quietude of the Park, all you have to do is walk a few hundred yards further and...More

Beautiful views, crystal clear water, absolutely wonderful hiking. Spring is the best time, when the Trillium and Lady slippers are in full bloom and before the bugs get too bad.

We went to Cave Point Park with a group of photographers specifically to photograph Door County. We were not disappointed in Cave Point Park. We went at sunrise, hoping to get some good before, at, and after sunrise images. However, the sun didn't know that,...More

Watch your step: this park is really one with nature, which means paths are a little less clear and filled with stumps, rocks, and of course, sudden drop offs into the crashing waves of Lake Michigan. What makes this park so interesting is the variety...More

I live in Sturgeon Bay and Cave Point never fails to amaze me with it's beauty. If you visit in winter to see the fabulous ice formations - do it!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. It was a bit crowded in July but if you want to walk among the trees, take gorgeous pictures, and enjoy the rocky shoreline, this is the place. As a repeat Door County visitor this is always on the vacation agenda.

The water is a little rough for swimming. At least when we were there. There's not a good beach. It's all those rocks.

I've only been in the summer. I would guess that it would be beautiful but cold and possibly slippery. Dress warm and wear good boots with traction. Also it is probably very windy so something water/wind resistant.
