Good Ice Cream

Schopf's has great ice cream and being able to watch a working dairy farm is a nice bonus. We were there when the cows were being milked.

Nice info on the dairy industry and hands on stuff for kids of all ages! Saw the cows being milked and other animals at the farm. Ice cream was the best. Know that you van buy a half gallon for a few dollars more than a couple of scoops at the counter.

I always enjoy making a stop at Schopf's Hilltop Dairy near Sturgeon Bay when I visit Door County. It is a bit off the beaten path, as it is not right on WI-42 or 57, the major thoroughfares in Door County. It is just a mile or 2 up the road from Door Peninsula Winery on County I. I usually... Great dairy and barn. The property is fun for the whole family. Be sure to go in to watch the milking of the beautiful cows. They are treated very kindly. And, do buy some of the freshest ice cream you will ever have! Be sure to shop in their gift area too!

Just a short detour off the main drag up to door county you will find this delightful dairy wonderland. While a lot of it is geared to families, everyone can enjoy the sweet home made ice cream available in a variety of cones or a dish. If you walk around behind the ice cream counter there are displays on the... More

Visited with our 3 young children. Beautiful and picturesque family farm! Immaculately maintained. The store is so neat, with lots of cute gift items. The ice cream was so fresh and delicious! The fudge was equally yummy! The indoor viewing area was awesome. Had fun watching the milking operation and was a cool learning experience for our kids (Like a... More

Stopped for pumpkins and gourds, they had an enormous selection and they were super cheap. Didn't have any food for tasting but had good prices on local products. Perfect for kids as they have animals to pet, places to run around, and you can watch the cows being milked.

Nice for kids to see milking. We expected more. Ice cream was ok but nothing special. Thought there would be more dairy items and farm produce.

We have been doing this for about 3 years now, We bring a full motor coach from Oshkosh for attractions in Door County and make this our last stop before heading home. Great place to stop for ice-cream. We always come in the fall and it's just full of pumpkins and squash that we alway go home with too, The... More

Just caught a glimpse of the sign for this place off the main road and decided to turn around and see what it was. It became a highlight of our trip! This wonderful farm does a great job of demonstrating the process of milking their dairy herd. A variety of baby animals are also on display and will feed from... More
