This is a must see! We spent almost two hours here - we brought camping chairs and picnic lunch. The weather was beautiful and beach traffic was low. Kids could easily skip rocks, stack towers and splash in the water. It’s not super comfortable sitting...More

With the storyboards telling the history, you can look up and see the schooners anchored in the beautiful bay. The tactile, smooth limestone rocks that make up the beach are unique with an allure that held us to the spot as we soaked in the...More

We enjoyed the opportunity to view this place up close and it doesn't disappoint! Surprised to see that there are more rocks and pebbles here and walking owing the shoreline can be quite tricky. The view is pretty nice and it's in s rather secluded...More

This rock beach is so cool. Stack the rocks and take a photo. The water is very clear! Most people bring fold up beach chairs because it will be more comfortable then sitting right on the rocks. This beach is so unique and it fun...More

Very cool rocks! The water was beautiful and the area would be a great area for a picnic in the summer.

Beautiful smooth rock beach on the deep harbor. Bring your lawn chairs and skip a few rocks across the water. Kayak, swim, canoe in the calm harbor waters. Water was 68 degrees when we were there! Pretty warm for the season. Not too cold for...More

We went to Washington island and had read about this beach. We got there and were amazed by the beautiful stones and crystal clear water. Even on a 60 degree day, this beach was stunning!

Such a pretty area! Water was so clean, free parking and access. Had a great time with friends while in the area! Far from ferry so make sure you have a car or rent a moped/UTV

Schoolhouse Beach is a must! The limestone rocks and protected bay make it feel like you are in the Caribbean instead of northern Wisconsin, expect the water temperature will bring you back to reality. Even the slightly chilly waters will make you want to jump...More

It's worth it just to feel how smooth the rocks are. There is a swimming platform and changing building too.

We are south of Green Bay and the colors are just starting to come out on some of the trees. The east skyline was gorgeous last night with a deep blue sky and some of the trees showing color.
