People, don’t be fooled. This is a lavender gift shop. There is less than 5% of the total area with any Dairy history or information. Not worth the stop.

Enjoyed the Historic Island Dairy and the attached lavendar fields, as well as, the lavendar drying house. Lovely lavendar products to choose from within and probably a tad bit cheaper than the Fragrant Isle.

Nothing dairy about this place except the name. Expected some history, some plaque, something but got a lavender store and a cool drying building for lavender. Well at least we got to play corn hole.

So excited to be riding our bikes and come upon this. I learned a lot from the gardener. It is simply beautiful and well maintained.

Ran in our day on the island. I bought some lavender soap. Nice gift shop if you are into lavender. The smell is quite strong. They had popcorn to chocolate6 soap, lotion and more. The Icelandic building out back was beautiful but small. They didn't...More

The lavender does not need to be in bloom to make this a great day trip. The plants still give off a lavender scent and the view of the fields are lovely. We were thrilled to see the old dairy so tastefully restored and used...More

This place is a must see to learn about the local history of Washington Island. It was really neat to learn about new things and to learn how they made cheese and took care of all the milk that they produced on such a small...More

First off, I would suggest not even bothering to go to Washington Island. We thought it would be fun to take the ferry over and explore the island. There really isn't much to see or do on the island, I would have rather spent the...More

There is a trolly system that will take you for a tour, as well as a bike rental. I would suggest taking your vehicle and just exploring on your own so you can spend as much or as little time at each place, just make sure... More
