A small but well-done paleontological museum. I've been there numerous times and still enjoy going. Excellent displays (including interactive and touch), hands-on area for kiddos, knowledgeable staff, interesting tours (by paleontologists). Good place to learn about Wyoming, too. Great little gift store, too! Highly recommended.

We visited here with our children ages 7 and 10. We were in Casper for a couple of days and were looking for some ways to enjoy our stay. This museum on the Casper College campus is great for a kid or an adult that...More

I think my favorite thing about this museum is they have geologist working behind the glass window that you can ask questions and bring your finds to for evaluations. You can't get that at the big museums.

Wow! An alcove for each major geologic period! You could dig very deep, in a manner of speaking, or just look at the creature features and move on - til the silicate vs non-silicate minerals got you, that is! Enthusiastic college students pass through, and...More

Followed my GPS to this place. Funny thing is that my GPS didn't point me exactly where it's at so I drove around several times. I was determined to find it. It's at Casper College campus and up the hill. Just follow the signs until...More

The museum has some really nice exhibits including the centerpiece, a mammoth. Entrance is free and they have a good gift shop area. Great place to visit if you have a spare hour.

If you are interested in "bones" and "rocks" this is the place. The exhibits are fairly detailed on what you are looking at in raw and polished form. I was quite surprised at how some gem stones look before being cut and polished. The exhibit...More

This museum is part of Casper College and so is a teaching and learning museum. There is a window onto a prep lab so one can watch the techs work on their latest fossil find. The Columbian Mammoth and T-Rex are awesome, there is a...More

We had extra time during a DAR meeting in Casper so we dropped by the Tate Museum. The museum is small but packed with great items. They have actual relics on display, not just casts of bones. The staff were enthusiastic and friendly and took...More

I don't remember there being a charge. I think there was a donation box. I just looked at their website and didn't see an entrance charge. Visit their website and give them a call.

It's free. And they have a donation box if you want to help. They have a mammoth that is great along with so many other things.
