Discover all 27 specialty landscapes – there is something for everyone and always something in bloom either inside the solar greenhouse or on the grounds. If you haven’t experienced the Paul Smith Children’s Village, which is also part of the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, then you are missing out. Bring the kids and see just how fun nature can be – while learning at the same time. The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens is currently undergoing major construction and renovation. As a result, the Garden’s main parking lot is now closed. However, the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens greenhouse and offices as well as the Paul Smith Children’s Village will remain open during their regular business hours. To access the Paul Smith Children’s Village, visitors are asked to park in the Old Community House parking lot, which is east of the facility. From there follow the adjacent sidewalk to the main entrance. To access the Botanic Gardens greenhouse and offices, visitors can come into Lions Park as if they are heading to the Kiwanis Community House but take the road that heads just south of the building adjacent to the Park Gazebo. From there you will find parking available either along Sloan’s Lake or adjacent to the Boy Scout Building. A 6,800-square-foot solar heated and solar powered conservatory also features several outside gardens, each designed in a unique style.

The gardens, over all, were pretty but poorly maintained. There is some type of construction and renovation going on there. I was disappointed in the regular garden. The children's garden though was a delight. There were families there and the kids were having a wonderful...More

This botanical garden in the Lions Park is very nice you can park and walk all through the area. You can walk along the lake or through the garden area and there are several different displays including an old locomotive engine.

The botanical gardens are wonderful! There's certainly something for everyone. They are beautiful, fun, peaceful, and a true gem of the city. The poor reviews are just old curmudgeons. Absolutely worth a trip, especially for kids!!! The children's village is so sweet.

This used to be a nice quiet place to see some flowers and relax in a quiet environment and get some good pictures. Donations ran the place, but I am wondering what they will charge to get in once all the construction is complete. They...More

Great for walking meditation. The Garden Labyrinth is a fun place for children as well as adults. The Garden of Peace has numerous quotes on the walking paths and benches, very memorable ones! Great place for relaxation and contemplation! Even though during this time of...More

Actually, this rating is in anticipation of the new conservatory, which is to open in 2017. Other than a few flower beds and a wetlands pond and boardwalk near the old visitor’s center, there really wasn’t much botany to observe. The new conservatory promises to...More

I went to the gardens across from the Frontier Days Museum and was surprised at the poor condition of the area - lots of dead plants and not much to see. There was a nice lake where people were kayaking, and people were walking dogs...More

Yes, on leash. In fact, the bathrooms have "leash loops" on the wall outside the doors!
