Was a nice spring day, but a long drive and not really a lot when I got there. Not a lot of history to describe the area.

With the choice of Crystal Lake and Granite lake you will likely catch some fish. It is a for sure trip if you have a boat. Fishing from the shore can be a challenge and I never have much luck unless I hoof it back to the canyon where the water is deep.

We are RVers and often look to stay in state or federal parks. Curt Gowdy is between Laramie and Cheyenne. This park has a great selection of camping spots. Ours overlooked the reservoir. If you like hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, fishing or just a gentle stroll around the reservoir, this is the place for you. The park fills quickly -... More

Beautiful Picnic and camping areas available, 24 miles from Cheyenne, Wyoming. Hiking trails to pick from, Snow was there when I visited on 3/1/17. Awesome stone vistas and many climbing opportunities for kids of all ages.

I went on an exceptionally warm and sunny day for February and so there were a lot of people out but there are so many trails and different places to hang out that I only passed one person on a trail the entire time I was in the park (3 hours). There is mountain biking, hiking, camping, fishing, horseback riding,... More

I have been going here since I was a little boy. Its just minutes away from town. There is fishing, archery, hiking, biking, camping and picnicking all in one area. Great way to spend some time out side.

Curt Gowdy has a lot of trails for hiking and Mountain biking. Great Camp sites. Good fishing in the reservoirs. The hike to the hidden falls is a moderate hike and the falls are great.

We decided to camp here well we attended the Cheyenne Frontier Days and though it was a ways from Cheyenne it was so worth the drive each day. Loved all the deer and antelope we seen each day. The park itself was beautiful with so many trails to take. We choose to take the trail to the water fall and... More

Curt Gowdy has been the best part of my commute to UW from Cheyenne. It is always beautiful, especially when the road is not. On my last trip, I even spotted three moose! The best days are those that I have time to stop at the park and hike.

Went on a 5+ mile hike on a bright winter day. The place is beautiful and very few people will be met on the trails. The Hidden Falls were totally frozen which was very nice to see.
