I have discovered Welcome Centers as the place to go in place of Rest Stops. I travel by myself many times and they are usually staffed and clean. This Welcome Center is both; bathrooms large and clean, soap plentiful, water gets hot. Lots of things to look through, information is available for travelers, or just a few minutes to browse... As welcome centers go, this one is outstanding. Aside from getting maps and travel information, there are terrific displays that show Wyoming nature and history. Well worth locals bringing out of state guests. If you are travelling on I-25 through Wyoming, be sure to stop.

While traveling across country sweetheart and I randomly stopped at this welcome center and what a lovely surprise ! I never imagined I'd write a review about a welcome center but this place was exceptional ! It is a great little mini museum complete with mammoth skeleton and more information on Wyoming than you ever thought to ask. Friendly folks,... More

One of the nicest rest stop you'll see. Clean, comfortable and very informative. Almost a mini museum.

Unlike most visitor centers, this building also houses a mini-museum of local culture, history and archeological finds. It's like a free museum! There are even interactive displays for children. Use this rest stop to really stretch your legs and learn more about the area. The exhibits alone are worth stopping for!

Brought our bus group here for the typical 30 minute rest stop...had to extend the time due to the incredibly interesting and professional exhibits. This is very much a museum quality attraction and it's amazing that they don't charge admission. We learned quite a bit about Wyoming history and locations where we'd like to stop the next time we roll... More

It's actually a really interesting little stop along the freeway, clean bathrooms, friendly staff and very informative! Great information on native Americans and really fun things for the kids. I'd recommend stopping right after you get a picture of yourself with the Wyoming State welcome sign along I-25. (Or before the Colorado sign depending on your direction)
