I have gone to this museum many, many times over the past twenty years. I was raised in the city and to my delight, moved to a small town with a wonderful museum. The BBCOW actually houses five distinct museums which is pretty cool. If you are traveling with kids, it's an excellent way to preview the greater Yellowstone region... More

The BEST museum of western stuff anywhere. Five big ole museums plus outdoor gardens plus a giftshop plus food plus coffee kiosk. Your entry fee gets you in for two days -- maybe a good idea, since this place is bigger than you think. Also, marble floors wear out feet.

I didn't think I would enjoy this. I mean it's a museum. Don't be fooled though, once you walk into the center, you are immersed in the Wild West. There is such a great story and so much to learn. If you're courious about how the west was won, this is your stop

This museum has five sections, and you need at least two days to see it all. The fine art section is world class. The firearms museum is the best I have seen in the world, and having traveled internationally that is saying something. Amazing firearms collection, my husband spent two days there. We need to come back to see the... More

Very nice western museum. Many western and some historic guns (rifles and pistols). You will not see more rifles than this place! The William Cody past of the museum was well put together along with the Plains Indians section. We were there for 3 hours and did not see the paintings nor the natural museum of plants and animals of... More

Your ticket is good for 2 days and you may well need 2 days to see everything in this 5-in-1 museum complex. Well worth the admission price. Something for everyone.

Best thing in the city was clearly this museum. There is just so much to do and see thats related to the west and the time period, mostly relics and original antiques as well as some wonderful pieces of artworks. The original firearms and artifacts from the lives of these famous people were unique and the museum was laid out... More

A good way to start on the east side of Yellowstone and get a sense of the area and history. It helped us get our bearings before spending a week in Yellowstone. If you linger at each exhibit it will take a couple hours.
