A visit to the Museum is both educational and inspiring. There are many exhibits with excellent descriptions. They depict the Wyoming area as a function of time beginning with the dinosaurs. And BTW there is a complete skeleton of a large dinosaur standing guard over...More

Lots of fun for anyone interested in geology and/or paleontology. It’s free and open to the public. The only downside is that it’s on campus and there’s no nearby visitor parking.

We learnt so much about Wyoming. So interesting. The museum is little and doesn't take long but impressive fossils and a great timeline display on the second floor.

Fantastic dinosaurs!!! This is a small museum but well worth your time. On the second floor was an amazing time line showing how water covered various parts of our country in different time periods. The bearded lady exhibit was very interesting!

I had great memories of visiting this place as a child. It is a fun place to go in and explore and read about the surrounding area and what surprises it holds. Don't miss this. Its free to the public.

Let's face it - it's called the "Geology Museum" but mainly it's a paleontology museum. There is an evolving set of exhibits, and nicely renovated space that allows for more exhibits. To my mind, though, one of it's chief attractions is the glimpses it provides...More

A small but very interesting and informative museum. We liked the presentation of the different excavation projects and the geological history of Wyoming. The different situations of Wyoming from being under water to the altitudes of today and the location relative to today's continents are...More
