Drove US 191 from Vernal Utah to Pinedale Wyoming. Amazing scenery, great changes in elevation and it snowed on us also.

Hoback river valley is beautiful and the high mountain plains are spectacular. Area of 2016 fires. Road in excellent condition, doing some road work currently.

Along with the beautiful scenery (snow capped mountains, meadows, and streams) we were always on the lookout for wildlife. We weren't there during their migration but there were still plenty of Pronghorns to see.

Easy going with lots of sky and mountain views. Not much as far as commerce but a few side roads take you as off road as you want to go.

Route 191 is one of those drives that is easy on the eyes as you drive the high mountain desert of Wyoming. The mountain ranges on both sides make for a beautiful view. You can see wild horses, cattle, ranches, and of course, pronghorn antelope....More

I've only done the Wyoming portions but would love to drive the whole thing from South to North. Wyoming sections go by the Wind River Range, a beautiful and wild section of mountains. Goes right through Pinedale, a lovely town.

Lots and lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery. Mountains were snow capped. Winding road, Holback River. Be alert for the wildlife. Be sure you have water and gas. Not much in the way of stops on this highway.
