This is a great scenic drive through the Bighorn Mountains, with LOTS of open range cattle and a better than fair chance of seeing moose near Burgess Junction. This is not considered a high mountain pass, but it has pretty steep climbs and descents, so it isn't a white-knuckle drive like the Beartooth Highway, but you should take your time... More

The drive through the Big Horns is a gorgeous drive. So much to see. Wish we had more time to enjoy it.

We have family in Big Horn and Sheridan Wyoming, so it's tradition to drive through the Big Horn forest. No matter how many times we go through, it still takes your breath away. I'm a photographer at heart, so naturally I'm drawn in by their graceful slopes and greenery. It had been 10 years since our last visit, and my... More

Not a line of cars even on a holiday weekend. It was a beautiful day despite some low clouds and rain. It was just awesome to feel mostly alone in the vastness of the area. Camping sites were very well laid out with good distance between them for the most part.

Drove through the Big Horn National Forest to Cody and this really is quite a spectacular drive. We found the drive took substantially longer than planned but were glad we took the time to stop on a very regular basis. The high roads give some stunning views and we were lucky enough to see a variety of wildlife. As others... More

Camped at Circle Park and at Sibley (2 different ends of the Big Horn Mts.). Can't say enough how beautiful the Big Horn Mts. are! Camping at these two parks was especially nice as both had such nice, secluded sights! The campground hosts at Sibley were especially helpful with day hike recommendations. Another added bonus--no cell service at Sibley; this... More

My wife and I traveled through the forest on our cross country trip. We wanted to take a "back road" and get off the highway for a bit. What a gorgeous place! Some of our favorite pictures and videos that we took during the trip were taken in Bighorn. I would love to go back and spend more time in... More
