Snorkeling at Capt. Cook was recommended by many people, but we wanted to do a little more than just take a boat out, swim around and motor back in. We stumbled across Adventures in Paradise and I'm so glad we did. Our guide Mike was AWESOME! Not only was he welcoming and made it easy for first time kayakers, but... More

Let me first start off by saying this wasn't my first kayaking tour or snorkeling tour, and that I really think our guides were kind and knowledgeable. With that being said, I really feel the snorkeling was kind of sub par for being rated so highly. It might be bc we went at the 11:30 time instead of the 7am,... More

These guys are great! I'm not in good shape and I was able to do this. They helped and didn't make me feel bad at all. A beautiful, calm kayak trip to Captain Cook's Monument led by super knowledgeable guide, Mike and assistant Jahrod, was interrupted by a spontaneous spinner dolphin show. I recommend the 7 am trip to be... More

My girlfriend and I took an early start kayak (started 7am) across the beautiful Kealakekua Bay to the Captain Cook memorial. There were two guides, Mike and Kelani who were very friendly and made the whole process very easy. Mike in particular gave enthusiastic and entertaining information about the bay and the story of when Captain Cook came to the... More

We wanted to be able to land at such an historic spot plus do the snorkeling in this protected bay. I do my research so checked "Hawaii the Big Island Revealed, 7th edition, and learned this is one of 3 operators allowed to land. Of the 3, Adventures in Paradise is not only the most reasonably priced, our tour arrived... More

Two families with 4 adults 3 teens booked the Jan-3 11:30AM "Deluxe Kayak & Snorkel Kealakekua Bay" tour, when we arrived the early morning session was just returning and the staff on site was livid that the next guide has not showed up. The morning guide was very apologetic, entertained us while our guide showed up 30 minutes late, and... More

I wish we would have taken the early tour so we could have seen more dolphins. Other thatn that mistake on my part, we had a great experience.

Big Shout Out to Mike, Jerod, Shannon on the paddle and snorkel trip across Kealakekua Bay to the Cook Monument. Michael is a gifted storyteller and really put on a great performance, bringing the history of this place alive. While Mike also coordinated the logistics, Jerod and Shannon showed great patience and skill in making sure the gear worked for... More
