We are a non profit 501 3(c) educational and cultural facility set within a 7 acre Botanical Garden. We recently added a lovely gift shop and free coffee tasting. We offer self guided tours with an affordable admission and discounts for seniors, military and Kama'aina. Gently slopping land, mature shade trees, and expansive views from Kealakekua Bay to Place of Refuge allow one to wander through beautiful tropical displays and manicured foliage.Unique statuary, petroglyphs and the worlds only Galaxy Garden done in rare hibiscus provide great photo opts!

On our way to the Place of Refuge on Monday and kinda of taking back roads to get there, we passed this place, but it was closed. While we were waiting for our late night flight, we started visiting botanical gardens. The plants and trees were amazing with most having a sign indicating what they were. The place is also... Very peaceful place to meditate or just wonder around and enjoy the beautiful flowers and trees. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Beautiful view of the ocean. While there, don't forget to say hello to Henry the Parrot.

We happened upon this amazing place. With only one hour before closing, the staff recommended we return when we had more time. We are so glad we did. The 7 acres are filled with lush gardens, temples of all faiths and a panoramic view of Kealakekua Bay. While we were not looking for a spiritual experience, each of us did... More

Found this sanctuary by accident as we were traveling to the Painted Church. It was truly peaceful and the flowers breathtaking. There is even a Galaxy Garden which puts into perspective how small we are in the universe. Small gift shop and yoga available Tuesday and Thursdays.

We had a private tour of the galaxy garden and it was wonderful. So creative and really helped you understand the scale of our galaxy. Very peaceful.

Can't identify all those exotic tropical trees and plants? Visit this garden! A piece of paradise. Well worth the price of admission.

Thank you for the 5 Stars. I am glad you enjoyed the new informational botanical signs we have placed throughout the gardens. We plan on doing the Galaxy Garden signage next. More

We were looking for Captain Cook monument, which turned out to be a horrible disappointment, but this garden was very impressive and spiritual. Galaxy Garden in the shape of Milky Way, flowering trees and bushes. Small gift shop. Out of the way but enjoy the scenery and look into island life.

Paleaku Gardens Peace Sanctuary was our first stop on our vacation. It really set the tone for a relaxing vacation. The fee was $10. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The view is spectacular. The variety of plants and trees amazing. We spent a few hours just sitting and walking through the gardens. It is a lovely place to wander,... More
