After a quick internet search for segway tours, Botanical World Adventures seemed like the place to go. So, we loaded up in the car and made the drive from Waikoloa. We pulled in, went to he visitor's center and they were able to get us on a two hour tour with less than an hour waiting time. Meanwhile we walked... More

Two hour Segway tour of botanical gardens ending at a waterfall overlook. Guide briefly trained us on Segway - we were first timers - they were relatively easy. Guide explained the flora and let us smell and taste the leaves and fruit. Guide made everybody comfortable. Good experience even for beginners.

Our family of four signed up for the 30 minute segway tour through the botanical gardens and had a fantastic time. Our guide Dorian was funny, friendly and knowledgable and really made the experience unique. After teaching us how to operate the segways and giving us some free time in a field to take a few loops and get a... More

We toured the gardens only, did not do the zip line or Segway activities. Things got off to a bad start with a very grouchy and uninspired ticket seller who gave us a map and a perfunctory introduction to the self-guided tour. It was a flat, rehearsed and much repeated speech devoid of excitement or enthusiasm for the attraction, which... More

I can't get over how many different plants we saw. This place has waterfalls, streams, trees, birds, flowers, and an ocean view. So much beauty in one place. I give it 3 stars instead of 5 because the park is not fully handicapped accessible. Motorized wheel chairs are not allowed on the steep ramp that one must descend to get... More

I looked for a company that would allow a child under 70lbs to participate and came upon this place on Groupon. The zip lines were fun but I wish there were more or longer. I could have done the whole course over again. The way it is set up, it would almost be better as an on going park where... More

I found this place from Travel Zoo and we opted to do the Zip line tour. We planned this as a stop on the way to Akaka Falls and Rainbow Falls and it was a nice addition. We had never zip lined before and they were very good at making us comforable. The views over the rainforest are beautiful and... More

Very disappointing. The place needs some cleaning up and maintenance. The draw here may be the Segway and zip lining. Those areas seem to be much nicer so that's probably where the money goes but they should definitely pay more attention to the trails for the non adventurous type.

I don't know what it was about this place, but we got weird vibes. It's clear it used to be a plantation. Not sure what kind. We found free passes, so thankfully we didn't pay. The zip lines and scooter thingys seemed cheesy and overpriced. Glad we didn't pay, but kinda wished we would have skipped this one, and laid... More

Aloha, We are located on hundreds of acres. We maintain over 5,000 species of plants. We currently identify over 1,000 with signs and are identifying more each month. The maze alone is made up of over 2,000 individual Moch Orange plants made into a hedge to make the largest woody maze in the world and the second largest permanent maze... More

We hit the big Island every two years. This year our 12 year old son wanted to take the Botanical Garden Segway tour as his special request. (we each get one request each trip). My wife called to make reservations and asked the girl who answered if there was any age, height or clothing restrictions. She was told that we... More

Aloha, Our deepest sincere apology for misinformation that disrupted your tour. We were very disappointed to learn that one of our recently hired guest service representatives would interupt your vacation plan and the enthusiasm of your son by not getting clarification and instead passing incorrect information. Unlike the information given by this newly hired staff member, it is advised that... More
