Totally worth the money. The trip was professional and exciting. They got us as close as possible to the lava and there was a chance for everyone to see. They made multiple passes back and forth so you all had a chance to view the lava and exploding rocks. The ride out and back was tame because the weather was... More

We booked the 4:30 evening trip. For some unforeseen reason, we were finding it hard to make it so we called them 24 hours in advance to cancel. We were told of the 48 hour cancellation policy ( which, to my mind is a bit stupid, 48 hours is way too much lead time for a vacation tour, but I... More

Customer called to tell us they needed to cancel last minute during peak season and expected us to change all policy to benefit them we have limited space on every trip so each seat is guaranteed. If customer wanted to rebook we offer that for 100$ per person as she stated in good faith they will be punctual for that... More

This is really the best way to see lava, up close and personal. It's a 30-minute or so boat ride out to where the lava is flowing into the ocean. The conditions on the day we went were extremely smooth, so we were able to get within ten feet of the lava. I highly recommend the pre-dawn tour. It is... More

We have used this company twice now, and both times were 5 Stars! They get you up close to the lava and the boat ride is a lot of fun going over to the lava site! If you are planning a trip to the Big Island---this is a MUST DO activity.

Great boat tour to see the lava flow! I live on island and would not take any other trip to see the lava from the water. We had a visiting family group of people mostly over 65 and they were thrilled! A once in a lifetime trip for sure. The boat is fast and maneuverable, and is handled impeccably by... More

It was the most amazing tour, ever. We got so close to the lava. I had no idea it was going to be so spectacular! So much lava flowing into the ocean. The boat ride was a blast, BUT, when the captain tells you you'll get wet, that is an understatement, we got soaked, walls of water hitting us. It... More

Go while you can, the lava won't flow forever. Would be an excellent but the non english speakers do not listen to the instructions and therefore bounce all over the boat making you unsafe and ruining your camera shots. My thought is that no english no trip. I am a professional pilot and if the people cannot understand english they... More

Beyond amazing. You could never get this close anywhere else but on the boat. The captain's skill is extraordinary. What a marvel of nature in action. This is not something for words --you have to experience it.

I originally was scheduled for sunrise on Friday, December 2nd, yet it was cancelled due to adverse weather (I love that safety is paramount for this company). I was given the option to reschedule for the next morning/sunrise, which although that meant a longer drive (I would then be staying in Kamuela/Waimea), I knew this was a wild, bucket list,... More

First highlights - the lava viewing was incredible. Definitely a once in lifetime experience. You get so close it's a bit scary frankly as lava is exploding around you. Trip gets 4 stars for this. Lowlights - 1-2 star worthy - we booked the sunset tour which we paid extra for. We were not there at sunset - we were... More
