An amazing combination of history and science, together with a glimpse of the rich cultural heritage of the people who make up Hawai'i today. The guided tour of the Lyman house and the mineralogical exhibit are the highlights, but it's all great. Not to be...More

The exhibits in the beautiful Lyman Museum are extremely well-done and interesting/informative. We also got lucky with Pat as out guide through the Lyman's home (adjacent to the museum). All-in-all, a tremendous experience, a fantastic value, and well worth at least three hours.

My husband had been to Hawaii 50 years ago, and was very interested in the tidal wave history. Museum is worth a look!

One of the best, nicest museums in the islands. Association with the Smithsonian is a big plus. Definitely worth seeing. Probably second only to the Bishop in the islands.

We arrived a bit too late to go on the tour of the Mission House - this was a disappointment, and there was no deduction in price for viewing only the rest of the museum. The portions of the museum that explain volcanic activity from...More

Excellent from start to finish. Folks are extremely helpful making you feel right at home. Our guide to the old Lyman house (part of the museum) informed with incredible knowledge. The museum proper is a treasure trove of old Hawaii. Don't miss it.
