We did the 4 hr tour to the pit room. Ive lived here for 5 years and had this on my list of things to do for a while. And I'm glad I did. It was fantastic. Harry was very knowledgeable and offered deep insights into the features of the longest lava tube in the world. It was great engaging... More

We had no idea what to expect, nor did we when we drove up the drive way with a carport full of this and that..... but WOW, incredible!! Harry was a wealth of information and an explosion of ideas. The caves and Harry are comfortable companions working together and sharing the subterranean view of the islands creation. Be prepared to... More

My friend and I visited the caves back in December, but the experience has stuck with me ever since. The tourguide was very knowledgeable on all things cave related and more than once we were awed by the beauty hidden under the earth's surface. We had a little trouble finding the place when we started, but it was all good... More

We did the 4 hour tour and really had wonderful educational experience coupled with a bit of adventure. Harry knows his stuff and teaches about the lava tube cave and carefully points out all the types of lava sculptures and types of lava in there. We walked into the cave for about a mile. A great time.

Great 4 hour lava tube tour-so much to see and all absolutely worth it! Wear good hiking shoes, be prepared to go up and down ladders, climb over loose lava rock, climb up a small 6 to 8 foot wall with a rope aid if necessary, then on lava ledges, see lava waterfalls and lava teeth. Take water. Helmets and... More

This was an ok lava tour but I feel it is somewhat dangerous. If you are not in good shape and sure footed, I wouldn't take the chance. If you are and are also really into caves particularly lava caves, maybe go for it. 😊

This tour exceeded our expectations! We did the 4 hour tour and we saw WAY more than we expected to see. Our guide, the property owner, was so knowledgable and gave us a lot of interesting information about the history of the caves, how different tubes are formed, and what lives in them. Definitely a great activity if you are... More

My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway to the Big Island for my birthday. Since this wasn’t our first trip to the island, he wanted to do things we hadn’t done before. He found the Kazumura Cave Tours online ($30/person, cash only). It is the longest and deepest lava tube in the world. We did the 2-hour tour that... More

This was such a great experience For my husband, son and I.... We were in awe of the height and lows of the tubes, the formations. We were a little apprehensive when we walked in and Harry closed and locked the door behind us but we soon discovered how spectacular this place is. We did the four hour tour and... More

Harry is genuinely enthusiastic about the cave and not just going through the motions of the same old tour. Our tour lasted 1/2hr longer than it should because we got into so many discussions about what we were seeing and he did not mind that at all.
