Great park to sit and watch the ducks, take a walk, or go fishing. There are paved portions through the green space, but there are lots of places that are green and lush. It was raining the day we arrived and it was difficult to walk after rain as it was very soggy and muddy in spots. Definitely some interesting bridges to explore and the kamehameha statue and ponds were lovely to photograph. There were water fountains and toilets nearby. Great way to spend an afternoon or evening.

I think most people probably stop here for the King Kamehameha statue, which is cool, but there is more to it than that. Not a lot more, but it's worth a short visit to stop by and walk around a little bit. Plenty of parking, never really seemed busy

We thought this would be more than it was, but the only interesting item was the statue of the King. Otherwise, a lackluster park, a few bridges, lots of green grass, and not much else.

A beautiful park not living up to its potential. A result of bad management- they even foolishly defaced their own responsibility- painted the trees. Other criminal activity not controlled well.

Nice place to visit and relax in Hilo. Only problem is mosquitos. Bring your mosquito repellent because they love visitor's blood better than the locals'.

Every visit to Hilo isn't complete without a stop to the King Kamehameha statue, just to be polite & ask his blessing for landing on his island. The rest of the park is beautiful with some very unique bridges, There's always some Ducks & Nene around, always nice watch them

This is a very nice park, full of bridges and beautiful trees, and very scenic. It also has one of Hawaii's four King Kamehameha statues which is definitely worth seeing. However, there is little to do in this park for more than an hour.

Beautiful park with huge green lawns and room to run. Coconut palms sway gracefully beside the river, memorials offer places for focused meditation while quiet greenspaces offer opportunities to commune with nature. Pavilions for events. Lots of parking. Clean.

This is a large park that has multiple picnic areas, BBQ grills, covered areas, restrooms, fishing area and several historical memorials.

We were disappointed this time as the arched bridges were all closed to walking, but you can see muscovy ducks, Guinea fowl, feral chickens and feral cats.
