Beautiful garden area! You can wander paths past huge banyon trees that lead to a Japanese style garden. It was a lovely and relaxing walk through this lush site. There are bathrooms on site but they were closed while we were there.

Very nice big park, with lots of places to sit and enjoy. Not a lot of flowers but a lot of greenery. We saw lots of birds/ducks and several people were using it for exerciseing.

This is a gorgeous park with huge towering banyan trees, bonsai, and plenty of places to have a picnic or take a rest. Enjoy the beautiful weather and shade. Great for families, picnics, and a cheap outing!

Perfect spot for a picnic! Right by the bay. Beautiful, peaceful gardens. A really nice walk, too. Would love to come here every day for lunch!

A lovely garden with decades old trees, very shady, clean and well kept park...for both locals and tourists, a very relaxing place to read or people watch with lots of history

Peaceful park with lots of people there at the time that we went. Sits on ocean and also has lake. Outdoors, some trees for shade

Worth seeing. Beautiful gardens, ponds and statuary. We saw it while on the tour of the Big Island. Something different.

This is a nice manicured historic Asian garden that deserves about a half hour to wander around and enjoy. It’s a great little treat to stumble upon after a walk along the Hilo waterfront park system that follows the iconic banyan tree drive along the coast. The garden features a series of pathways and Asian bridges that are placed along a small pond system that meanders through a series of green fields and lava beds. Small garden beds and trees are strategically placed in random areas to add to the experience.

The gardens are not spectacular but they are in downtown Hilo, the parking is free, and the gardens are very easily accessible, so why not enjoy the pleasant scenery

You can take a walk of about 15 -30 mins and explore the gardens. The gardens are next to the pacific ocean and a nice park

Will recommend it

There are no vendors or stores here, so if you prefer to eat something, you will need to bring it with you

This is a nice park located off of Banyan Drive. There are several paths to meander, picnic areas with tables, benches, a lake with accessible pagodas in them and parking.
