My wife and I picked the cruise excursion that brought us to this magnificent garden. It is so relaxing and peaceful here. This is a very beautiful Japanese garden named after the Queen of Hawaii. Throughout the park are stone lanterns, stone sculptures and tori...More

We were visiting Hilo so decided to stop and walk the Japanese garden. The paths consist of steps, gravel, rocks and bridges. There were bright yellow finches and some koi fish. We were the only people walking the gardens. There is parking but not much...More

Love this park. I saw lots of families taking pics as well. There are pagoda and gazebos surrounded by water as well as scenic points to take pics with Hilo bay and lava rock outcroppings.

This park is near our hotel and we always start our Hawaiian vacation with a morning stroll through the gardens. Coming from the winter mainland Midwest it feels like paradise.
