Spacious, attractive Japanese park worth a leisurely stroll - and cross over the nearby bridge and visit small Coconut Island as well.

Beautiful, clean Park on the water's edge. The peaceful place to Be, on Banyan Drive. Next to all the fancy hotels .

After eating lunch at Hilo Bay Cafe, we walked through Liliuokalani Gardens on our way to Coconut Island. It is a lovely little park with bridges and a big banyan tree. There were many families here taking photos on the various bridges.

Closest park to the string of hotels on Banyan drive, it is well-maintained and relaxing. Nice wading bird watching in this estuarine area.

Lush beautiful established Oriental Garden with feral cats that are fed by wonderful little old lady and her husband. Perfect place to walk first thing in the morning especially if you're on East Coast time and you have the garden all to yourself hang out...More

Walk through this Japanese Garden and bring the camera. From the Okinawan dragon boats to the bridges and the banyans, this garden is worth a visit every time.

Although slightly flooded, this is actually more of a park. The special plants are the trees! Definately go for Banyan tree and, across the park, the Monkeypod Tree.

You will need to check with the County of Hawaii to see if you can book a pavilion at the Liliuokalani Gardens.
