The title says it all. Not an easy place to get to but worth the effort. Take a guided tour. The information about the history of the valley is not easily gotten anywhere else.

I don't think you can see this from the viewing station, but if you go on a tour of the area, you'll likely see it.
It's well worth the hike, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are in fairly good shape. Make sure you get good directions if you don't go with a tour.

This was a highlight of our trip to Hawaii. Great ( fairly easy) hike to 2 falls and breathtaking scenery with lush bamboo, greenery abounds and not really crowded. A must see.
