Native-Hawaiian owned and operated tours of Kauai's scenic Na Pali Coast. We use spacious catamarans that are large enough to walk around and be stable in the ocean, yet small enough to fit in the many sea caves along the coastline (weather permitting). Price includes homemade deli-style lunch and snorkeling time along the coast.

My husband and I enjoyed our boat tour of the West and North coast of Kauai on the Na Pali Kai III. The boat was smooth, the guides were knowledgeable and friendly, the food was tasty, and the snorkeling was beautiful and waters were clear.

We loved everything about it. I recommend it! We had hiked the Napali Coast, so it was pretty amazing to see it up close from the water. The tour was five hours long, but it felt shorter because it was so interesting and fun. I...More

I have been on three Na Pali snorkel tours and I think this is the best one yet! The smaller group, but still non-inflatable/raft boat/catamarn made all the difference. The time duration is just about right, though feels a little longer on the way back...More

Did not want to go on too big a boat with too many people. Also did not want too small a boat. This was perfect. Crew walked around giving us history. Saw dolphins, turtles swimming nearby and even went into and near several caves. Will...More

The wife and I and our 17 y.o. wanted to see the Napali Coast and chose Makana Charters cuz it was closer to the cliffs than Port Allen and cuz we prefer to support small, family-owned businesses. Boat was comfortable with row seating at the...More

Well worth your money. Beautiful Napoli coastline we wouldn't of seen it otherwise, delicious sandwiches, great choice of juices and great staff willing to help with putting on gear and just about anything you ask them to do.

This was my 3rd time to Napali Coast. Words can't explain how beautiful the views were and I especially appreciate the knowledge that this crew had shared with us. I read previous reviews regarding sea sickness and it definately helped. I took Dramamine the night...More

We had a great time on the afternoon tour on the Napali Kai III. The crew was fantastic. Followed the instructions to avoid seasickness that they sent on confirmation e-mail and had no problems at all. Definitely recommend.

Makana charters is the tour to take if you want to see the Napali coast by water. First off, they are one of the more affordable options. They were about 40$ less per person than the tours our hotel was selling. Secondly, they leave from...More

We went on that tour with our 1year old son and it was great. We've been there last winter and took some rough waves, the captain is very thoughtful and advise us to sit in the back of the boat. Don't forget to bring for... More

We were in the bigger boat and got right up to the sea caves. The smaller one would get you inside but then you will be feeling the waves a lot more. Spending 5 hours on a little raft wasn't the adventure we were looking... More

Yes, they do go up all the way. I'm sure it depends on the weather or seas at the time, but every time I've gone on Makana, they go farther than the other boats all the way to the North Beach almost. (as far as it goes... More
