While visiting the big island of Hawaii our family first went to Kahaluu Beach (snorkel beach). Easy for beginners and somewhat shallow area with lots of fish and sometimes turtles.

Easy parking covered picnic tables rocky shallow entry vibrant fish coral is more dead than alive. Not too deep. Good for an hour

The beach is fairly small area but great snorkeling. Bring water shoes or old sneakers to walk in water.
