Took the 2:30 pm tour to the Kilauea Volcano firehose flow of lava to the sea on the Lava1 on 2/24/17. This was a National Geographic moment. Start out at a remote public beach, board the craft on land via a 10 foot ladder and...More

Trip of a lifetime! We were all a little hesitant due to the rough conditions, but those fears quickly disappeared. You leave out of a small harbour and travel the coastline seeing evidence of lava walls broken off into the sea. Shane's metal boat and...More

While seeing the "fire hose" was epic I was expecting a 2 hour trip for $250. We spent 15 minutes at the lava. For the amount of money spent (total cash cow) I was hoping for some more quality viewing time (half hour at least)....More

Absolutely plan on getting wet! Put wallets, purses, etc in zip lock bags as they will most likely definitely get wet! The boat ride will most likely be very rough, so count on it.

I don't think you will be disappointed with either. We did sunrise because we were told the seas would be calmer. Next time, we're doing sunset.
