This unique experience is on-of-a-kind on Hawaii's Big Island and is great for kids, adults or the entire family! Reservations can be made a year in advance. A portion of the proceeds from your Dolphin Quest encounter program supports vital marine education, conservation and scientific study. This was the best 11th birthday surprise activity we did for my daughter this weekend! I told her we were just going to watch the dolphins, after I had pre-checked in with signing a waiver, I brought her over and walked near the locker area,...More

Seemed they blocked view on purpose. The only way to see the reaction on my kids face was to spend another $155 on top of an already expensive activity. Kids enjoyed it but the photo blocking and gouging lower the rating from 5 to 3

The chance to briefly bond with such an intelligent and elusive being is beyond rating. The personality and individuality of the one I befriended and three I interacted with dissolved the idea of separateness between species, leaving me feeling more similar than different! Absolutely worth...More

My six and eight-year-old sons did this with me on our recent trip. It was really cool to be able to touch the dolphins and interact with them but my sons seemed somehow less impressed. I think this is great if you’re already really into...More

Expensive, but worth the money. I did the ‘encounter’ with my 14 year old daughter, a perfect experience for a teenager! She was thrilled!

What a fun time. Each trainer/guide takes a small group, explains Dolphins and their personalities to us, and the history of the Dolphin(s) we got to play with. Our trainer was so nice and friendly. It's nice to see Dolphin Quest well staffed and that...More

I don't think so. I don't think the kids were in very deep water. If they were it wasn't for long. Mostly they were standing and the dolphin came to them.
