We saw some beautiful sunsets here. I also enjoyed walking along the beach and rocks at dawn before most people were out and about. I saw a turtle resting on the beach between the 2 large rocky sections one morning, which was awesome. This would...More

Lovely sandy beach near the Marriott Waikoloa and the Lava Lava Beach Club. Great place to stand and watch the sun sets but you will, sadly, not be alone. Bathing looks reasonably safe but we did not swim there ourselves. Chairs can be rented. Lots...More

Lovely beach, outstanding sunset photos. On the Marriott property with a gate that closes but people walk around it at night!

Beautiful location with great amenities. The beach is clean, the water is warm and clear. Its calm and flat in the mornings, but as the winds pick up in the afternoon, it gets choppy with whitecaps. Snorkeling ion the AM is good. There is a...More

This beach was located next to the hilton waikoloa resort where we were staying on our trip to the big island. The sand wasn't very soft and there were a lot of rocks but we still had a great day here.

Great place to have a stroll in the evening or to spend a day swimming. There are some sunbeds and a rental for beach essentials. Sand is rather coarse and it can be windy sometime!

This is very good local beach. There is a wonderful tide pool nearby, some snorkeling, and a very charming restaurant, Lava Lava Beach Club, that has unparalleled sunsets.

I do not believe you can on the beach, I don't recall seeing anyone doing so. There is a grocery in the mall coming to the beach. Great fresh foods that will satisfy for sure.

We saw them in the mid afternoon over to the right hand side of the Bay. I was snorkeling there when to my surprise I saw a turtle swimming along about one foot beneath me. I could have touched it. This continued for several... More
