We stayed at the Marriott at the bay. Fantastic location. Highly recommend this spot. Perfect location from Kona and North Shore, as well as Hilo. All easy to get too.

We watched the sunset here. Did not swim or visit during day. Lots for cats every where. Has bathroom to use or change in. Good parking for beach.

I do not believe you can on the beach, I don't recall seeing anyone doing so. There is a grocery in the mall coming to the beach. Great fresh foods that will satisfy for sure.
