Our one-of-a-kind Kauai activities include tubing down an old sugar plantation irrigation system, through open canals and several tunnels hand-dug circa 1870. Or you can soar through the air on our 7-line zipline course, traversing the side of a...more

Not only was the tubing a blast - the guides were the best. Making sure we were safe, having us laughing on the trip to and from the channels and making us feel like we were all friends at the end of the tour.

Hubby and I visited Kauai Backcountry Adventures for a 3 hour tubing adventure. The excursion has great reviews, though if you follow the forums on TA you would find some mixed reviews. Don't listen to those people! The tubing adventure is a lot of fun...More
Unfortunately, we do not offer a shuttle service to and from the Nawiliwili port. However, there are taxis and ubers available, you can reserve with them in advance or try to reserve one when you dock.

We have had many guests who are claustrophobic come on tour, that are at first, are very worrisome but end up absolutely loving the tour. While the ceilings of the tunnels are not low(one of the highest ceilings being 20ft), going through you will be close to other guests tubes while passing through each canal. The width of each canal is a little wider than two of our large tubes side by side. Our longest tunnel is in fact a 3/4 mi long and about 75% of our tour is spent within the tunnels however you will have headlamps and our trained guides with you at all times. Should you feel the tour is too overwhelming, there is one point in the tour that we can take you off, however, if you do pass that point you will need to finish the remainder of the tour. The mountain tubing tour is awesome and we would love to have you experience this once in a lifetime tour! We have had many claustrophobic guests conquer our tour and have a blast! We hope to see you!

Aloha! Yes you can wear your prescription glasses on our tours. We definitely want you to see the beauty of Kauai! However, it is at your own risk. I recommend some kind of tether/croakies for your glasses. Most of our customers use croakies for the arms of their sunglasses. Also, most common ways that someone loses their eye ware is when they either take them off of their face and/or someone flips you over. I hope this helps!! Much aloha! - KBA
