Experiences are commonly made by people and interactions. We decided to do our visit to the waterfalls by doing some kayaking and we picked Dukes because it had a good quality/price ratio. It's hard to describe how cool and beautiful the way to the waterfalls is. But that would be just another nice adventure in a beautifully place. What made... More

Evidently we lucked out with the dry weather. No mud on the trail and only light wind on the river. Brian is very knowledgeable about the Hawaiian culture, as well as a skilled guide. As soon as we expressed an interest, he expounded on history, geology, and biology of this part of Kauai, which we really appreciate. Trainee Adam was... More

I had a real blast on this adventure. Brian made this so much fun and our group consisted of very competent kayakers. So much beauty.

We booked on line and got a great deal going on the 7am tour on a Tuesday morning. Luckily our guide was "Brian" and he was amazing! He is very knowledgable and made the tour that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend this company and Brian Hodder. The kayaking was beautiful on such a nice day and the hike (and I'm... More

When someone says the tour will be five hours, my first impression is, "No thanks." However, this half day kayaking/hiking adventure was physically a challenge but very worth the trip and the time. My 13 year old daughter had a blast. We got there to Duke's garage location at around noon and joined approximately 9 other people. When everyone arrived,... More

Would definitely recommend this tour. The river kayak is bery relaxing and beautiful. The waterfall and swimming is amazing. Be sure to stand behind the falls, they are breathtaking, literally. We had tour guide James who was awesome with lots of local knowledge and could even coax the birds down from the trees. Would highly recommend Dukes.

This was quite literally, a bucket list excursion for us. Swimming in a waterfall has been something we, as a family, have always wanted to do and it was better than we imagined. Our guide was Brian, and Brian was awesome. He is a very animated guy and is very funny with an extensive knowledge of the area, island mythology,... More

Shout out to Miquel, our tour guide. Thanks again for making the trip fun for the whole family. My two daughters were laughing the whole time as we trudged through the mud to get to the beautiful waterfalls!!

We were lucky to have Brian as our guide, he was very informative. He would constantly tell us stories about the island, the history of the villages and about the hike itself and even introduced us to Auntie Quackers, a duck that meets him every trip he takes. Kayak trip was very easy as was the hike. Mud was very... More
