We drove to Poipu beach and waded in and saw so many more varieties of fish than we'd seen on any tour we'd taken in the last 6 years. This was just in the shallow area. There some swells further from shore due to winter...More

Fun beach filled with people and wildlife. We saw green sea turtles and monk seals each day we went there. There are 3 bay areas. The first is good for boogie boarding. It can be good for snorkeling when it’s calmer. The other two areas...More

This place was insanely crowded, dirty, people using toxic-reef killing sunscreen everywhere. Touching sea turtles and getting too close to seals. The solo life guard could not possibly keep up with all of those people. This was probably my least favorite beach that I've been...More

This is a great beach park. During the day, you are likely to see sea turtles and in the early evenings we saw Hawaiian monk seals several times. Please be kind to the wildlife and keep your distance. We visited several times and there were...More

busy but awesome beach park. Tourists and locals. Different beaches make up this park, or are so nearby they seem to be a part of the park ( I wasn't quite sure where this park boundaries were!) Snorkeling, boogie boarding, some tide pools. Nearby restaurants...More

This is a swimming/surfing/ bathing beach right next to a park with picnic facilities and trees. One can bring blanket/towels and be on the beach or the grass. Across the street is Shave Ice and ice cream. In Hawaii, what more might you want?

We relaxed, we snorkeled, and we boogie boarded. There’s so much to do with teenagers on this beach (they didn’t even play on their phones) Clean, great waves, and we enjoyed watching the seals too

This beach has a large adjacent paved parking lot, lifeguards on duty, covered picnic tables and restrooms. It has a sheltered area with a reef that breaks the waves and lots of sand in a shallow water that makes it safe for kids to get...More

Great Location with a very nice beach. The waves were fairly small compared to the North shore which made it kid friendly. The Sheraton Kauai Resort which is right next to the beach has an outdoor bar and also a restaurant.

We walked from the Grand Hyatt & were greeted by 4 Monk seals frolicing in the sand & surf & very close by 3 GIANT turtles. Very cool. Washrooms under renovations.

It would be good for beginner snorkeling! It is protected by a reef so water is not rough. You need to be aware that in some spots the distance between rock and water surface is very very shallow and you need to be careful... More
