I would say this was not my favorite. VERY crowded. Some fellow tourists were very rude to others. The swimming was a bit rough for my teens and they are good swimmers. Folks were very disrespectful to the marine life and the NOA people working....More

The regular beach is a little rough but good swimmers should have no problem. To the left section of the beach is a protected area for children. One time I brought a couple of pre teens to this beach and they spent more time chasing...More

It's too rough for kids. Recommended for strong swimmers and there's a shore break that could hurt you. The park has a protected pond for little ones. It's nice there for a picnic.

With ample parking, this beach is great for families, friends, couples, or even solo visitors. With a fairly well protected beach and life guards, Poipu Beach offers safety and guidance for snorkeling. A small island is a short swim away. We sat for awhile in...More

Nice beach. But very rocky. Would recommend water shoes, good for snorkeling. I prefer over by Baby Beach, mostly sand, easy to walk into, and nice for swimming even for beginners.

Fun and beautiful beach in Kauai. A little touristy but you can grab a sandwich and drinks at brenekes and hit the beach across the street. Makes for a very pleasant beach day...

Great beach! Very clean, well kept and great waves. If you go around the corner to the north by the Marriott property there seem to be some rocks. Beautiful!

Lovely beach with incredibly multi blue waves. Great place for family and friends. We even got to see a sleeping monk seal on the beach.

It would be good for beginner snorkeling! It is protected by a reef so water is not rough. You need to be aware that in some spots the distance between rock and water surface is very very shallow and you need to be careful... More
