Parking adjacent to the far side of the Grand Hyatt in Poipu. Nice changing/restroom building across the parking lot. Big white sandy beach with some shade. Maybe you'll get lucky and see some cliff divers. DON'T attempt it until you study someone SUCCESSFULLY diving it....More

I seriously just love Kauai...been more times than I can count. One of my favorite beaches is Shipwrech Beach. I love watching people jump off the cliffs. Love the big waves...love everything about this beach.

We enjoyed this quiet beach next to the hyatt and really enjoyed hiking the trail next to it. Would definitely recommend.

Nice beach to sit at and watch surfers if tide is bigger than you want for swimming. It was too rough for jumpers in the rock but it was fun to climb up and see it.

Great little beach with a fantastic view. Free parking but not a lot of it. Good for good swimmers and wave riders. Undertow beware signs posted.

Stopped here for a few minutes to watch the boogie boarders and see the big cliff. Didn't hike the trail though due to an injured knee that day.

Take the hike from the start and through the golf course. It's an amazing hike in the beach with great opportunity for awesome pic. Bring some water because it's a bit long but not to hard. Enjoy it!

Drive past the Hyatt and take the road to the right between the Hyatt and the golf course. Shipwreck Beach parking lot is at the end.

I'm sorry I can't help you. We went as a hiking group from Vancouver Island and were self directed. I didn't notice any guided groups of hikers.
